There are countless benefits of Pilates but I thought I would put together a list of my top 10:
Firstly, and this is so important, it makes you feel good. Not just physically, but also mentally.
Pilates can strengthen and tone your muscles so you feel strong in your body.
If you go to classes you've got the added benefit of being able to socialise with like-minded people.
Pilates is versatile so you can also practice on your own, at home as a form of self-care.
My favourite is that Pilates is adaptable so no matter who you are, you can make it work for you.
Pilates can improve your balance, posture and flexibility.
It's fun - once you start doing Pilates regularly, trust me you won't want to stop.
Pilates can be practiced anywhere: at home, in a class, at the beach, in your garden, on holiday etc.
You only have to do 20 minutes of Pilates a day to really feel the benefit.
Pilates is putting yourself first and that can only be seen as a good thing.
